120 nautical miles from Australia’s east coast of Queensland is a very remote chain of the Great Barrier Reef known as “The Swain”. Croc One was waiting for me on the Swains so I jumped on Grant Kenny’s sea plane and flew out for the best oceanic adventure ever. During the 1 ½ hour flight over Swain’s Reef I was astonished at the vivid colour and magnificence of the Reef. Once we started diving, snorkeling and exploring, we discovered the most colorful and pristine reefs we’ve ever seen, just teaming with wildlife both above and below the water. Turtles, fish, sharks, sea snakes and birds were prolific and to top it all off the surf was huge and very powerful. “The Swains” has now become a definite destination every time Croc One is on the east coast.
